Recently some one made mass hacking on orkut using phishing technics.
first he made a profile of girl/ hack some one with fake page saying its “orkut”
after that he use his profile update status to hack id.when user update his/her status message the message/update will
display on his friend home page like this :

After wards the user will see update on his Orkut Home and if he/her will unaware about phishing than he/she will enter into fake page and leave
his/her id/password in fake page. The hacker will get ID/Pass which enter by user/now victim from Log file and form mailer in inbox and the hacker use it to
login to victim account and do the same update status with his fake-page/phishing page link and make fall other user in trap..
This condition will work like a cycle and lots user got hacked via this method:

Now, you think that how to save your self from being hacked via phishing.. than here is some tips for you.
* Do not Enter your ID/Password in suspicious site or link.
* Dont believe on any script doesn’t matter what its claims to do.
* when you browsing site like orkut if you click on link it will give you alert like this :
* Than you can visit the site but if it will tell you to enter id password there DO NOT ENTER YOUR ID password to that site/page.
* Always take care to check URL before entering ID/Password
If URL like : www.orkut.co.in/Main#home.aspx or www.Orkut.co.in than its safe to give id password but if it will look like
orkut.xxx.com or 0rkut.somehost.com/ServiceLogin.htm than ALERT DO NOT ENTER YOUR ID PASSWORD THERE.
* If you just take care of this precautions than you can surf safly on orkut and also this is for other social media sites.
